Springfield pedestrian injured in train collision
A pedestrian is hospitalized after being struck by a freight train in Springfield on Friday at North Grand Avenue and 19th Street, according to Julie Plunk, PIO and Assistant Fire Chief for Springfield Fire Department. The individual's condition remains unknown, and the train is currently blocking the 10th Street railroad tracks for an extended period for investigation.
