Speed believed to be a factor in fatal Gardner motorcycle crash

A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a car occurred in Gardner, Kansas, resulting in the death of one person. The accident took place on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 189th Terrace and Gardner Road. According to initial reports from the Gardner Police Department, a motorcycle traveling southbound on Gardner Road collided with a northbound Toyota Camry that was making a westbound turn onto a driveway. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Joshua Johnson, succumbed to his injuries despite receiving treatment at the scene. The individuals in the Toyota sustained minor injuries. The authorities suspect that speed may have played a role in the incident. The Johnson County Accident Investigation Unit is aiding in the investigation, which is ongoing.
