Speed and alcohol factors in deadly Ellinwood crash
A man from Ellinwood, aged 35, lost his life in a single-vehicle accident near Wichita, Kan. The Barton County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash site where a GMC Yukon, traveling southbound on SE 105 Avenue, failed to navigate a curve onto SE 20th Road and rolled multiple times into an open area. The driver, named Blake Peters, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Both excessive speed and alcohol are thought to have played a part in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
