Southbound lanes of Interstate 465 reopen following accident
A collision on the southbound lanes of I-465 on the west side of Indianapolis caused a significant traffic delay on Friday evening. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation's Traffic Management Center, all southbound lanes of I-465 have been closed while authorities investigate the incident near mile marker 11.1 between W. Minnesota Street and Sam Jones Expressway close to the Indianapolis Airport. The lanes were reopened after an update from INDOT around 6:30 p.m. The Indiana State Police have confirmed that there were no reported injuries, but the number of vehicles involved has not been disclosed.
