
South Glens Falls woman dies after car crash in Washington County
KINGSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Kingsbury on Saturday. One person, identified as 48-year-old Keri Pike from South Glens Falls, reportedly died as a result of the incident. According to the Sheriff's Office, the crash took place at about 1:02 p.m. on State Route 4, south of Kingsbury Road. A preliminary investigation into the incident that a GMC Sierra driven by Rhonda Sexton, 50, of Fort Ann, allegedly crossed into the oncoming lane and struck Pike's car. Pike was transported to Glens Falls Hospital, where she died from her injuries, authorities said. Sexton was also reportedly transported to Glens Falls Hospital, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. A part of the roadway, between Kingsbury Road and Rock City Road, was closed for several hours on Saturday as authorities investigated the crash, the Sheriff's Office said. Eight other agencies, including New York State Police, several fire and EMS companies and the Washington County Department of Public Safety, also assisted at the scene.
