Snowplow accident kills man in Ontario County

A tragic incident occurred in the Town of Richmond resulting in the death of a man who was caught between a snowplow and a fence post while attempting to attach the plow to a pickup truck. The Ontario County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies were called to White Road where they found Michael Seager, 60 years old from Swaine, New York, trapped in this situation. Rescuers used a tractor to free Seager, who was unfortunately unable to survive his injuries. The investigation showed that Seager was helping with the snowplow installation when the truck moved unexpectedly, causing the accident. Despite the efforts of emergency responders from the Richmond Fire Department and Richmond Ambulance, Seager could not be saved, and he was later pronounced dead at FF Thompson Hospital.
