Smash-and-grab burglars crash car into famous Fairfax sneaker shop
A suspect drove a car into the storefront of a popular sneaker shop on Fairfax Avenue early Friday morning and made off with stolen goods, police confirmed. The incident was reported at about 5 a.m. on the 400 block of North Fairfax , according to the Los Angeles Police Department. When officers arrived, they found a blue Toyota Camry that was driven into the front of Solestage, a high-end streetwear and sneaker shop. The suspects fled on foot and were yet to be located as of 7:40 a.m. Police said that items were taken, although it's not yet clear how many and what the estimated value is of the stolen goods. Images captured by KTLA on Friday morning showed the Camry inside the shop with broken glass on the ground. Solestage is well known for being among the shops used in the popular "Sneaker Shopping" webseries by Complex. The series follows celebrities browsing stores and picking out their long-sought-after sneakers. Recent guests who shopped at Solestage on the show include Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James, rapper Freddie Gibbs, WNBA star Angel Reese and actor Samuel L. Jackson.
