
Smart watch of plane crash victim helps locate wreckage near Yellowstone National Park
A tragic airplane crash near Yellowstone National Park claimed the lives of three individuals. Search teams were able to locate the crash site using the smart watch of one of the victims. The single-engine aircraft had departed from Montana's West Yellowstone Airport late Thursday. When the plane went missing, two search planes were deployed to search the area where the watch was last tracked. The downed aircraft was found shortly after in a wooded area south of West Yellowstone. Tragically, all three occupants were found deceased. Their bodies were removed from the wreckage and transported by helicopter. The victims were identified as Robert Conover, 60, and Madison Conover, 23, both from Tennessee, as well as Kurt Enoch Robey, 55, from Utah. The cause of the crash remains unknown and is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.
