Small plane crash in Olympic National Park leaves 1 dead, 2 injured
A small plane crashed in Olympic National Park, resulting in one fatality and injuries to two others. The incident occurred in a remote area near Quinault on Tuesday. Park rangers were alerted to the crash in the southwest corner of Olympic National Park at around 6:50 p.m. on July 15. The three occupants of the plane, a Murphy SR3500 Moose, needed rescuing from the forested, steep slope of the Irely Lake Trailhead.
