
Small aircraft crashes in Pembroke Pines neighborhood but all occupants are unharmed
Four individuals have been hospitalized with minor injuries following a small plane crash in a Pembroke Pines neighborhood. The Pembroke Pines Police Department confirmed that the plane, a Cessna T337G, crashed into a tree near North Perry Airport while on approach for landing. Thankfully, the pilot and three passengers on board the plane are safe. Although initially reported as Trauma Level 1 and Level 2 injuries, police later updated that the occupants only sustained minor injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation into the crash while officers have blocked off the area for safety measures. Residents in the neighborhood shared their experiences of the incident with the media. Mayor Angelo Castillo of Pembroke Pines expressed concern over the frequency of crashes in the area and called for a thorough safety investigation by the Broward County Commission regarding North Perry Airport.
