Sledding accident in Texas claims life of teenager, injures another, according to police

A tragic sledding accident in North Texas on Sunday resulted in the death of one teenage girl and left another in critical condition, according to the Frisco Police Department. The incident occurred when two 16-year-old girls were being pulled on a sled by a Jeep Wrangler driven by another 16-year-old. The sled hit a curb and collided with a tree. One teen passed away from her injuries while the other remains in critical condition. The police department expressed their deepest condolences to the affected families and friends and stated that the incident is currently under investigation. The winter storm that hit Texas over the weekend caused icy conditions, contributing to several accidents and a fatality related to hypothermia in Austin.
