Skydiving plane crash injures 14 at Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, NJ

A skydiving aircraft carrying 15 people crashed at Cross Keys Airport in New Jersey. According to Wendy Marano from Cooper University Hospital, all individuals were being treated for injuries. Three were taken to the trauma center, eight to the emergency department, and four with minor injuries were reunited with their families. Emergency responders declared a mass casualty incident upon arrival, with several individuals covered in jet fuel. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported, despite some severe injuries. The pilot reported engine trouble shortly after takeoff, leading to the unsuccessful landing attempt. Investigations are being conducted by multiple authorities. The same aircraft was involved in a 2023 incident in Virginia, where a poor landing led to a collapse of the nose landing gear, resulting in substantial damage.
