
Six-vehicle crash on Interstate 29 results in airborne vehicle
The Iowa State Patrol is currently looking into a significant collision involving multiple vehicles that caused one vehicle to become airborne. This incident took place on June 7 a little past 4 p.m. on I-29 near mile marker 80. The crash happened when cars were reducing speed to merge into the fast lane because of an earlier accident in the east ditch. One vehicle overturned and landed in the median. Those involved in the accident include Jens Marttinen, 22, from Dassel, Minnesota, Robert Stee, 64, from Gary, South Dakota, and Kevin Van Egen, 60, from Hull, Iowa.
