Six people hurt after semi crashes into laundromat on West Jefferson
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Several people were hurt after a semi driver lost control and hit parked vehicles outside a laundromat on West Jefferson before coming to rest partially inside the building. The crash took place just before 1 p.m. just west of Swinney Park. According to Fort Wayne police, the semi driver was going west, and for unknown reasons, crossed the eastbound lanes and drove into the laundromat parking lot. A bystander shared photos of the crash: The semi driver was trapped inside the cab for a while and five people inside the laundromat were hurt. None of the injuries were believed to be serious. A woman sitting in a pickup truck next to where the semi went into the building was not hurt. The laundromat is located next to Mi Pueblo Mexican restaurant. Indiana State Police are assisting with the investigation.
