Six people hospitalized following five-vehicle collision on Gatlinburg Parkway
A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred around 4:14 p.m. on Sunday in downtown Gatlinburg, resulting in six individuals sustaining injuries. The incident involved five vehicles and took place in the 700 block of Parkway. Three individuals were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center while the remaining three were transported by ambulance. Gatlinburg Police Department later announced the reopening of Parkway around 10:30 p.m. Both GPD and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are currently conducting investigations into the crash, which occurred between traffic lights 6 and 8. The THP Critical Incident Response Team conducted an accident reconstruction the same night.
