Six individuals hospitalized following five-vehicle collision on Gatlinburg Parkway
A multi-vehicle accident in downtown Gatlinburg on Sunday resulted in several individuals sustaining injuries. The collision took place around 4:14 p.m. in the 700 block of Parkway involving five vehicles. Three individuals were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center while three others were transported by ambulance. Gatlinburg Police Department reported that the affected area was cleared and reopened by 10:30 p.m., with further investigations being conducted by GPD and the Tennessee Highway Patrol between traffic lights 6 and 8. Additionally, the THP Critical Incident Response Team conducted an accident reconstruction later that night.
