Sisters charged in street racing accident that resulted in deaths of 3 NC high school students

Two sisters are facing charges related to a tragic car crash that resulted in the deaths of three students from E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville. The accident occurred on Rosehill Road in October, where a Honda Civic crashed into a tree, claiming the lives of Jai’Hyon Lamont Elliot, Trevor Merritt, and Nicholas Williams. The driver, identified as 21-year-old Dymond Monroe, was seriously injured and airlifted to UNC Hospital. Monroe has been charged with multiple offenses, including involuntary manslaughter, while her sister, Destini Rhinada Genwright, who was driving another vehicle at the time, faces charges as well. Genwright is currently being encouraged to surrender to authorities, and her Dodge Charger has been confiscated by the police.
