Single-vehicle crash on Route 35 in Juniata County results in 1 fatality and 1 hospitalized
A tragic accident occurred in Juniata County on Tuesday morning, resulting in one fatality and another individual being hospitalized. According to the Mifflintown Hose Company, the incident involved a van crashing on Route 35 south near Route 333 at approximately 5:10 a.m. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed yet. The injured person was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment of "moderate injuries," while two others sustained minor injuries and did not require transportation. The road closure lasted nearly five hours, affecting several townships, but has since reopened. Pennsylvania State Police are conducting an investigation into the crash.
