Side-by-side accident leaves two Higbee residents hospitalized
Two people are in serious condition following a Monday crash in Howard County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Troopers reported that a 2024 Honda SXS700M Side-by-side was traveling north on Route A, just south of County Road 127. Shortly after noon, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned into a tree. An 18-year-old female driver and an 18-year-old female occupant from Higbee, Mo., sustained serious injuries and were transported to University Hospital in Columbia. MSHP reported that neither of the women wore a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
