Sheriff's Office provides new details on deadly accident
The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a call at 8:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9th, reporting a vehicle accident with injuries. Responding to the call were various local authorities including the Marshall County Police, Bremen Police, Bremen Fire, and Tri-County EMS, who were dispatched to the intersection of Fir and 4th Roads. Deputy Ryan Hollopeter investigated the incident, determining that a 2016 Mercedes Benz collided with a small horse-drawn cart carrying three juveniles, tragically resulting in their deaths. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the collision, with support from multiple other agencies including additional officers, the Indiana State Police, the Marshall County Coroner's Office, and more.
