Seven individuals sent to hospital following collision at Aurora intersection
Seven individuals were hospitalized following a collision involving two vehicles at an intersection in Aurora on Monday night. The incident occurred at around 8:43 p.m. at the junction of Mississippi Avenue and Sable Boulevard. According to Aurora Police Department, four individuals from one vehicle and three from the other were transported to the hospital. Firefighters had to extract one victim from the wreckage. Among those hospitalized, two individuals sustained what could be serious injuries, one had serious but not life-threatening injuries, and two suffered minor injuries. The conditions of the remaining two victims are unknown. The cause of the crash is under investigation, with no immediate determinations, although speed and alcohol are not considered contributing factors. The westbound section of Mississippi Avenue is closed while investigators work at the scene, and the duration of the closure is uncertain.
