Serious injuries in hit-and-run at 7th Ave and Bell Road
A man was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning in north Phoenix. The incident involving a motorcycle occurred near 7th Avenue and Bell Road shortly before 8:45 a.m. Phoenix police responded to the scene and found the man with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. The other vehicle involved, described as a red or maroon car, fled the scene heading west on Bell Road. The authorities are investigating the crash and are appealing for any information from the public. In a separate incident on the same day, a bicyclist was fatally hit by a car along Osborn Road east of 16th Street around 3 p.m.
