
Serious injuries in Grandview crash; bystanders aid victims
Good Samaritans came to the aid of two individuals involved in a serious crash on Wednesday afternoon on the East Frontage Road of Interstate 49 in Grandview, Missouri. The collision between a light pickup truck and an SUV resulted in both vehicles catching fire. Bystanders helped rescue the driver from the burning pickup truck and also assisted in containing the fire on the SUV until Grandview firefighters arrived to rescue the driver from that vehicle. Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were the only occupants in the cars. Grandview police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or provided assistance at the scene to contact the department's Major Crash Squad at 816-316-4900.
