Serious injuries in Baldwin crash during attempted vehicle pass

An individual from Baldwin was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night with serious injuries after a collision in Baldwin. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reported that Ashtin Harding, 21, from Denmark, Maine, was operating a Ford F-150 when attempting to overtake a Subaru Outback on Pequawket Trail shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday. The vehicles made contact, causing both drivers to veer off the road and lose control. Harding was airlifted to the Maine Medical Center in Portland, while the other driver, a Baldwin man, escaped unharmed. The incident is currently being looked into by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit, and the Windham Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
