Serious accident at Farabee Road in Charlotte County according to EMS
Florida Highway Patrol has provided an update indicating a collision between a semi-truck and a pickup truck on SR-31. The crash, which occurred in Charlotte County, has resulted in serious injuries to the 23-year-old male driver of the pickup truck from Lakeland and his 22-year-old passenger from Auburndale. The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries. The road is closed in both directions between Bermont Road and Farabee Road, with an extended closure expected as emergency responders continue to work at the scene. The injured parties were airlifted to a local Trauma Center, as reported by Charlotte County officials. The incident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
