Series of Milwaukee shootings: One arrest made, other suspects still sought

The Milwaukee Police Department reported three separate shooting incidents. The initial one occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. on W. Capitol Drive, following a car crash that escalated into a confrontation leading to a 35-year-old individual being shot. The victim sustained non-fatal injuries and was hospitalized, while a 28-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with this incident. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office will review potential criminal charges. Subsequent shootings occurred later at two other locations: the second at 2 p.m. on N. 50th Street, where a 35-year-old victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the third at 3 p.m. on W. Atkinson Avenue, where a 59-year-old was also taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Investigations are ongoing for the latter two shootings, with no arrests made yet.
