Sentencing ahead for two individuals involved in fatal Brighton collision.

Two individuals involved in a fatal crash with a stolen vehicle are set to be sentenced on Friday morning in Rochester, NY. The suspects, Theodice Parks and Theophilus Parks, have pleaded guilty to their charges. Theodice admitted to first-degree assault, while Theophilus confessed to first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The incident took place in August of 2024 when police responded to reports of gunfire and a crash on Clifford Avenue. The stolen Kia was driven by Theodice, who had picked up 20-year-old Trevan Simmons after he threw an illegal gun and attempted to flee. The high-speed chase led to a collision with 92-year-old Thomas Chase's car, resulting in Chase's death. Theodice is facing a 20-25 year prison sentence. The sentencing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday. Simmons, on the other hand, has pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
