Sempra Energy manager's partner speaks out after fatal crash
CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The family of a Sempra Energy manager who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident is speaking out for the first time. Dulce Martinez, the partner of the late Jorge Uribe, described him as a brilliant and caring individual. Uribe was returning from a motorcycle trip to Washington State when the incident occurred on Monday night. Martinez expressed her heartbreak over the sudden loss of Uribe, who was heading home to Ensenada when the crash happened. The California Highway Patrol reported that a Tesla driver intentionally collided with Uribe's motorcycle, causing his death. The suspect, Ulysses Jimenez, faces multiple felony charges, including murder, and has pleaded not guilty. Martinez highlighted Uribe's military service and long career at Sempra Energy, where he worked in project management for nearly 27 years. She emphasized his devotion to his children and his loving nature. As the legal process unfolds, Martinez expressed a desire for justice in Uribe's memory. A Gofundme campaign has been launched to support Uribe's family during this difficult time.
