Semi-truck driver dies from electrocution in McHenry County farm incident

A tragic incident occurred in McHenry County, Illinois, where a semi-truck driver lost his life while trying to load grain. The accident took place on County Line Road when farm equipment struck a power line. The driver of the tractor, a 56-year-old man from Hebron, was in the process of opening the equipment to offload grain into a nearby semi-truck. Unfortunately, the grain cart's chute touched the power lines, causing them to fall. When the 38-year-old semi-truck driver from Woodstock attempted to approach the tractor, he was electrocuted and pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor driver was taken to a hospital and is in fair condition. Authorities are investigating the incident with the involvement of ComEd, along with the coroner's office and sheriff's office.
