Semi truck accident causing traffic delays on I-80
There is a traffic incident causing delays on I-80 Friday morning, involving a semi truck rollover crash just west of LaGrange Road around 5:45 a.m. Illinois State Police have confirmed three vehicles were involved, with video footage showing the overturned semi blocking multiple lanes. The center and left lanes have been closed, and traffic is being redirected to the right shoulder at LaGrange Road. Authorities have reported at least one person being transported to a local hospital, but the number of injuries remains unclear. Motorists are advised by Kris Habermelh to avoid passing I-57 on westbound I-80. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with cleanup efforts underway at the site.
