Search warrant: Driver confesses to consuming malt liquor before accident that claimed lives of Marquette students

The Marquette University community is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two of its student-athletes in a car accident at 27th and St. Paul. The university has identified the victims as 20-year-old Noah Snyder and 19-year-old Scott Michaud. Two other teammates were injured in the crash. Authorities have arrested a 41-year-old driver involved in the collision, who reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident. While charges are pending, the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office has not officially named the driver. The incident occurred when the driver's Ford Ranger collided with a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee carrying six individuals, including Snyder and Michaud. The driver showed signs of impairment and failed a field sobriety test. The Marquette community and others are honoring the memories of Snyder and Michaud during this difficult time.
