After the accident, the driver fled on foot, leaving behind a Dodge Charger that had come to a stop against a tree on a busy sidewalk. The incident took place around 9 p.m. in the bustling commercial area between 14th and Euclid streets. Law enforcement officials are actively searching for the suspect, described as a Black male around 6 feet tall, who was last seen wearing a red hat, a black sweater, and black shoes. Interim Chief Darrick Jacob expressed condolences to the victims' families, noting the devastating impact on the community. The Major Accident Response Team (MART) is leading the investigation, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the investigators listed in the statement.
