
School bus damaged in crash on Indy’s east side
INDIANAPOLIS – A school bus was damaged in a crash Tuesday morning on the east side. It happened just after 6:20 a.m. at East 21 Street and North Ritter Avenue. Video from the scene showed damage to the top of the bus along with a downed utility pole. The bus came from Andrew James Brown Academy. It was the only vehicle involved in the incident. Multiple emergency vehicles responded to the area, including a police car and a pair of ambulances. There were no injuries to passengers or drivers requiring a trip to the hospital. Andrew James Brown Academy shared the following statement with FOX59/CBS4: "This morning, one of our school buses was involved in a minor accident near 21st and Ritter. All students on board were promptly assessed by school personnel and confirmed to be safe, with no injuries reported. All families were notified, and students have been safely transported to school. We are grateful for the quick response of our team."
