School bus crash on I-35W in Mounds View: No student injuries
A school bus was part of a collision on a highway in the northern Twin Cities metro on Tuesday morning, thankfully with no students being injured, authorities confirmed. The incident took place on Interstate 35W at County Road 10 near Mounds View, Minnesota, at approximately 7:50 a.m. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a sedan driver failed to stop for slowing traffic, causing a chain reaction collision that involved the school bus. There were 27 students from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and School on board, all of whom were unharmed. The drivers of the sedan and bus sustained injuries but are expected to recover. The school principal, Matthew Weingartz, expressed gratitude for the students' safety and requested continued support for those involved in the incident. The state patrol is conducting an investigation into the accident.
