School bus crash injures several Minco softball team members
Minco Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Sims announced that the Minco Softball team was in a serious accident, resulting in severe injuries to multiple individuals. As a result, school will be closed on Tuesday. Superintendent Sims shared the news on social media, where he asked for thoughts and prayers for the affected student-athletes, coaches, and families. Emergency crews are currently at the crash site involving a Minco School Bus in Grady County, causing the closure of all east and westbound lanes of SH-152/SH-37 near Cogar in Grady County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that multiple students were hurt, with at least six students being ejected from the bus and transported to hospitals in the Oklahoma City area. Fortunately, there have been no reported fatalities. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation stated that the road closure is expected to last for several hours, advising drivers to seek alternate routes.
