School bus collision injures 4 students
Four students at King's Fork Middle School in Suffolk were injured on Wednesday in a collision between a school bus and a cement truck. The incident occurred at about 2:20 p.m. on Hillpoint Boulevard. The school bus was transporting students when the crash happened, resulting in injuries to four of them. Three of the injured students were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the fourth was treated at the scene. The driver of the cement truck received a summons. Superintendent Dr. John B.Gordon III expressed gratitude for the quick response of emergency services and the support provided by the school staff to the students. The investigation into the accident is currently in progress.
