School bus, box truck, four cars involved in chain-reaction crash on Route 30 in Lancaster County
A school bus, four cars and a box truck were involved in a chain-reaction crash Tuesday afternoon on Route 30 in Lancaster County. The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Route 30 just west of the Route 222 exit. Images from the scene (see below), showed three school buses pulled over (only one of them was involved in the crash), an ambulance, several damaged cars and the box truck. The school bus was from the Cocalico School District. No one on board was hurt. The driver of the box truck was taken to the hospital, according to the Manheim Township Fire Department. No one else was injured.Location: Route 30 eastbound, just west of Exit for Route 222 North.Crash was reported at 1:37 p.m.Multiple vehicles are involved.One school bus was involved.There were people on the bus.Manheim Township police and fire crews responded to the scene. The crash backed up traffic to the Route 30/Route 283 interchange. The road is now fully open.
