Sacramento chase ends in Arden-Arcade crash; suspect apprehended

A pursuit initiated by Sacramento County Sheriff's Office in south Sacramento led to a collision and apprehension in the Arden-Arcade vicinity on Monday, according to authorities. The chase commenced around 9:30 p.m. near Power Inn and Elder Creek roads after the driver evaded a traffic stop. The vehicle was identified as suspicious by a license plate reader. The pursuit culminated in the driver, a woman, crashing into a civilian vehicle at Watt Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard and subsequently being apprehended at the scene. Additionally, a male passenger attempted to flee but was apprehended with the assistance of a K-9 officer. The passenger was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. There were no other reported injuries. Law enforcement has a significant presence at the crash site and it is advised for the public to steer clear of the area.
