Giuliani's injuries included a fractured thoracic vertebra, lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where his business partner and medical provider were present to oversee his care. According to his spokesman Michael Ragusa, Giuliani remained in good spirits following the incident.
