Route 61 reopened after fatal crash
NORTH MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office has been dispatched to a crash along Route 61 just south of Pottsville. According to Schuylkill County Communications, crews were called to the 1500 block of Route 61 southbound for a reported multi-vehicle crash. Schuylkill County Coroner David Moylan stated that his office is still on-scene awaiting a Pennsylvania State Police reconstruction unit. It is unknown how many people were injured at this time. Route 61 was closed in both directions between Pottsville and Schuylkill Haven, but has since reopened. PSP Frackville is handling the investigation.
