Route 298 shut down overnight due to car collision
As of 9:30 a.m. on July 2, the situation involving downed wires on NY 298 between Aspen Park Blvd and Fremont Road has been resolved, and all lanes are now open. The closure was caused by a car crash on Tuesday night in the town of Manlius that brought down multiple utility poles near the intersection of Fremont Road and Collamer Road. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. Utility crews and emergency responders have been on the scene working to clear the area and restore services.
