Road closures due to multi-car collision in Newington
Early Saturday morning in Newington, a multi-vehicle accident led to road closures and detours, as reported by the Newington Volunteer Fire Department. Around 1:00 a.m., the Newington Police Department announced detours and road closures at Hartford Avenue and North Mountain Road following a motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles. The collision caused damage to power lines and a utility pole, with one individual taken to a medical facility. Eversource was also called in to help with repairs at the scene.
