Road closure follows South Windsor collision, driver hurt
A traffic accident on Friday afternoon led to the temporary closure of a part of Pierce Road in South Windsor, Connecticut, and resulted in one driver being taken to the hospital. The South Windsor Fire Department, along with the ambulance service and police, responded shortly after the collision. Paramedics evaluated the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, before transporting them to the hospital. Pierce Road was blocked off between Ellington Road and Strong Road as emergency crews worked to clear the area. Authorities did not specify when the road was reopened.
