Road closed east of Wellington in US 160 because of deadly accident
A section of U.S. Highway 160 near Wellington, Kansas has been shut down due to a fatal accident involving a semi-truck that caught fire. The road closure is expected to last several hours. Eastbound drivers should use alternate routes such as US-81 Highway or the Kansas Turnpike to reach Oxford or Winfield, while westbound traffic can take US 77 north in Winfield to K-15/K-5 to US 81 for access to Wellington.
