Richland Community College honors trustee who died in grain silo incident
Richland Community College is deeply saddened by the loss of Thomas Ritter, a dedicated member of the college's Board of Trustees who tragically passed away in a grain bin accident in Blue Mound. Ritter, 73, joined the board in 2013 and was commended for his commitment to using his passions to benefit the community. He played a significant role in furthering education and economic development at the college. Ritter, a lifelong resident of Blue Mound, was known for his leadership and generosity. In addition to his work at Richland, he was involved in various agricultural and educational organizations. Richland President Cristobal Valdez and current board chairman Dale Colee praised Ritter for his devotion to the community and vowed to continue the inspiring work he began.
