Response to plane crash at New Century AirCenter by Johnson County teams

Two individuals aboard a twin-engine aircraft were injured on Monday afternoon when their plane crashed onto a hangar at New Century AirCenter. Emergency crews responded to reports of the plane landing on top of the Butler Avionics Hangar around 1:15 p.m. The occupants, a pilot and a trainee, were rescued and taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The plane, identified as a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air 90, had been given clearance for landing prior to the incident. Authorities are investigating the crash, and the aircraft may remain on the hangar roof through Tuesday for investigation purposes.
