Response to Lincoln helicopter crash at dawn
Brandi Lindstrom, a resident of Lincoln, vividly recalls the harrowing experience she and her friends had when a helicopter crashed in the Mid-Town Plaza parking lot early on a Tuesday morning. The chaotic scene, resembling a slow-motion sequence from a movie, unfolded right before their eyes, with debris strewn across the area. Lindstrom noticed signs of trouble even before the crash as the helicopter seemed to struggle with its descent. The crash occurred as the helicopter was attempting to pick up a patient, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported. Lindstrom commended the quick response of the emergency crews and shared her relief that everyone involved emerged unharmed. An investigation into the cause of the crash will be carried out by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
