Residents in a Magna community were requested to evacuate the area following a car accident that led to a gas leak on Friday evening. Those residing within a quarter-mile radius of the incident near South Fernbrush Drive were advised to leave voluntarily, although the evacuation notice was not compulsory. Access to the street where the collision happened has been restricted to traffic. According to reports, the vehicle collided with a house, damaging a gas meter. Only minor injuries were reported, and no individuals were taken to the hospital. Enbridge gas crews are currently present at the site, focused on containing and shutting down the gas supply in the vicinity.
