Residents from Auburn and Lincoln among 8 fatalities in Lake Tahoe boating tragedy
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office has revealed the identities of the eight victims who died in a boating accident in South Lake Tahoe on June 21. Reports indicated that a boat capsized near D.L. Bliss State Park with 10 individuals in the water amid challenging wave conditions. Rescuers recovered six deceased adults, while two people were rescued and hospitalized, and two remained unaccounted for initially. One missing individual was found dead on Sunday, and the other on Monday. The victims include Timothy O'Leary, Peter Bayes, Paula Bozinovich, Terry Pickles, Joshua Antony Pickles, Theresa Giullari, James Guck, and Stephen Lindsay. The Sheriff's Office expressed their sincere condolences to the families affected by this tragic event. Further details about the incident have not yet been disclosed.
