
Rescue of 2 people trapped in car wedged under overturned semi on I-71 North in Cincinnati
Two individuals were saved from a car trapped beneath a semi-truck following a collision on I-71 North near downtown Cincinnati on Tuesday. Cincinnati Fire officials reported that all northbound lanes of I-71 were closed at the Lytle Tunnel exit due to the accident. A WCPO team observed a white vehicle lodged under a jackknifed semi-truck on the highway. Despite motorists maneuvering around the incident on the shoulder, traffic cameras displayed significant congestion stretching along Fort Washington Way to the Brent Spence Bridge. The Cincinnati Fire Department shared on social media that they successfully rescued the two occupants from the car under the semi-truck.
